Meet Mindy

Certified Health Coach, 

CEO and MoJo Rocker

Growing up in Iowa, I was a motivated young adult, athletic, intelligent and full of energy.  I earned the nickname of MoJo in high school and a Division I scholarship to play volleyball. I headed off to college and lived the life of “work hard, play hard”.  I eventually worked in Human Resources where I loved staffing and training, bringing new people into an organization and working with them to grow into their roles. 

 

In my thirties, I was the mom/wife of a family of 6, with kids from 3 to 16. My amazing husband traveled internationally, I had left HR, and found myself with a job managing a golf clubhouse.  I was a full-time nurturer and wasn’t feeding my needs – I had lost the other parts of me.  I turned to a health coach and was so inspired by how she changed me that I became a health coach too.  MoJo Wellness & Energy was born and the Rock Your MoJo program helped other moms like me find themselves again. 

  

I eventually returned to the corporate world and was working my way to the executive level.  I was implementing impactful changes for my organization. My children were growing independent and finding themselves. But something was changing in me.  I wasn’t the thriving, MoJo-rocking woman that I used to be.     

 

I was becoming numb, I didn’t want to be around people, I wasn’t sleeping well, and my periods were changing.  I was hearing it from my friends too.  They were struggling with navigating through the same things.  There had to be a better way. 

 

My training as a health coach taught me to look into what was going on, and that there had to be a better way to navigate through this phase of my life.  And so, I began to experiment.  I found methods to get me sleeping, to feel sensations in my body, to be lighter, to enjoy the company of others, and to rock my MoJo.   

I wake up before my alarm, ready to seize the day.  I have energy and a focus on the things that I love doing, like dancing and working with other women. I can read my body’s feedback loop and respond in a supportive way.  I am poised to live my second half of life better than my first.  

 
Now I'm teaching other women the methods that I've learned through Midlife MoJo.  To provide clarity and solutions to the rollercoaster ride of premenopause.
